We spent the week in Arrow Head RV Resort, Ely, MN a small campground right in Ely, MN. It’s a very basic RV campground, but I would not call it an RV resort. We had water, sewer, 50 amp electric, and WiFi. The WiFi reception was good and seemed to have pretty decent speeds, although I never did run a speed test. AT&T service worked very well, but Verizon was spotty at best in the area. In spite of some negative reviews, we got along fine with the campground manager.

It was nice and quiet while we were there. The grounds and office were clean and mowed, but there were some maintenance issues. The roads in the campground were very rough. The post that held up the keypad to open the gate to enter the park felt like it was going to fall over if you didn’t hold it while pushing the buttons.

Lots of potential for improvement

There is a nice fenced-in area for dogs, but the grass was probably about three feet high. Our dogs are 10 and 12 lbs. and about 12 inches tall. We might not have ever found them if we put them in there.

The wood on our picnic table was rotted out. They had wood to rebuild the tables and a guy was working on some of the tables one of the first days we were there. He told us he would be back the next day to fix ours, but he never made it back, and we were there 7 or 8 more days. At least they are working on fixing up some things.

Overall, we had a nice stay and we will go back to Arrow Head RV Resort, Ely, MN when we visit the area again. However, we feel they could use some better management and upkeep.
