Potosi Brewery, Restaurant, and ABA National Brewery Museum
Today our adventure took us to Potosi, WI where we visited the Potosi Brewery, Restaurant, and ABA National Brewery Museum.
First, since it was mid-afternoon, we had lunch at the restaurant. Unfortunately because of the Corona Virus, brewery tours were not available at the time we were there.
However, we did get to go on the self-guided tour of the ABA National Brewery Museum. Sherry’s grandfather was a long time bar owner and for several years I have collected and sold beer tap handles, so we both found the tour very interesting.
Below are some pictures of different brands and advertising displayed.
The different types of bottles used for beer over the years and a 6 bottle bottling machine from Schlitz were all very interesting.
I assume with a last name of Cooper that some of my ancestors were barrel makers. Pictured below are some Coopers tools used to make barrels.
If you ever find yourself in the southwest corner of Wisconsin, we highly recommend a trip to the Potosi Brewery, Restaurant, and ABA National Brewery Museum
