We spent our first night on the road again at a campground called The Rustic Barn. It is a very lovely and clean little campground in Kieler, Wisconsin, just north of Dubuque, IA.

The owners are very friendly and super nice. They have only owned the campground since November 2019.

They have an office and a camp store. The barn has a large screen TV and tables for games. The parlor is a banquet/meeting room. There is a playground area with Bolo, giant lawn checkers, and connect four lawn games.

Let God’s Light Shine in the Rustic Chapel

They have a very cute little chapel where they had students from a local college come to give sermons up until the Corona Virus hit. They hope to start up again soon.

The roads in the campground and the campsite pads were gravel. Most of the sites are shaded and level. There are a picnic table and a fire ring for every site. The wifi worked great and both AT&T and Verizon cell phones worked fine. There are a shower and restrooms available also.

While we were there, we visited the Potosi Brewery and the National Brewery Museum and Library, in Potosi, Wisconsin, just a short 15-20 minute drive away.

Also nearby according to their website they are wonderfully convenient to reach, just 3 blocks off of highway 151/61/35. We’re also:
