If you travel in an RV, you need to be a member of Passport America. Passport America is a membership club that has nearly 1,600 member campgrounds where you can save 50% according to their web site. The cost to join is only $44.00/ year. You can save more than that on just one trip.

We saved $75.00 the very first time we used it. We stayed at a campground called Western Sky RV Park in Atascosa, TX. Their weekly rate was $225.00 and we only paid $150.00 for the week. The second week we stayed at Bay View RV Resort in Rockport, TX and we saved $157.50, 50% off!

One negative thing we have found is that most campgrounds limit the savings. For example, some are only during the offseason. Some limit your savings to 2 or 3 days. You can stay longer, but your 50% off is only good for the 2 or 3 days.
