Quick update.
Just a quick update for friends and family wanting to know where we are. Please share our blog if you know someone who might like it.
We spent our first night in a Walmart parking lot in Pocahontas, Arkansas. It was a very busy and noisy parking lot but we still slept well. We were both very tired out from getting ready for our trip and planning our retirement party.
Oh and in case you are wondering, Sherry’s dogs, Pebbles and Bam Bam are doing great. They have gotten used to their new car seats and they are sleeping well in their new kennel. Bam Bam loves finding new places to mark his territory every day, and Pebbles loves meeting new people every where we go.
Last night we stayed in a Bass Pro Shops parking lot in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was a beautiful place and very peaceful and quiet. There were a couple of other RVs there too.
We have really enjoyed taking our sweet time traveling, instead of the go go go got to get there now that we typically do on our vacations.
First Monday Trade Days
Today we made it to our first destination, Canton, Texas. We are here to sell at a flea market, First Monday Trade Days.
It is nice to have full hookups, especially water. We have had the RV winterized and didn’t want to get water until we were where it wasn’t getting too far below freezing at night.
This place is huge. It’s about the size of a small town. We are here two days before the sale even starts. There are just a few other campers here so it is very quiet.
Movin’on
We will be here for one week and then we are moving on.
I am thinking about going to a RV repair training school next week. They say that any day you spend in an RV with more things fixed than things that need fixed is a good day. If you have to pay someone to fix things, it can get really expensive, so it would be money well spent.
National RV Training Academy, (NRVTA) school just happens to be less than an hour away and they have a class next week. I’ll let you know if I decide to do it.
